The Love of a Good Dog

January 14, 2010. A very sad day in the Reynolds household. Our dear friend Shadow who has been with us for 14 years passed away this morning. She was surrounded by her family who loved her dearly. Knowing she was about to take her last breath I hoped in my heart that she knew how much I loved her.

The love of a good dog is an amazing gift. I am honored to have had the friendship of this "Poochie Momma" for as long as I have. She loved us all unconditionally. She appreciated the quiet times and reveled in the good! She loved to camp and chase the pool cleaner. She always listened when I talked and most times agreed that I was right. (Now if everyone in my household could take a lesson from this queen!) Wherever I was, so was my Poochie Momma. She followed me like my Shadow. She really was the best friend a girl could ask for. She will be deeply, deeply, deeply missed.

Be nice to those kitties in heaven girl. Give Biz a kiss for me too. Please know that I loved you with all of my heart.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is very hard to lose your "best friend" who was part of your family. I'm certain that Shadow knew how much she was loved. She will forever be in your memories!

Hi Stephanie...I am sorry to hear about Shadow. I know how it can be to lose a close friend like that. I grew up with lots of dogs and it was always hard to see them go. All the best...

That is one of the good things about our pets. theydon't ask for much in return for all they give to us. Sorry to hear about your loss.
