This picture was taken in Kingman Arizona, right off the Famous Route 66! We just stumbled upon it on one of our many road trips. It was so large we had to stop and climb all over it. It was in a small little park, it was the only thing there. You could climb into the caboose and into the engine. It was really cool.
I'm going to have to send my husband over here since he hasn't been here. He is all things railroading, having grown up in a railroading family in Texas.
Stephanie....Nice pictures of vintage railroad behemoths! Kingman is just 1 1/2 hours west on I-40 from where I live.
I'll have to make sure Russel gets over here. I think he's ridden on every train that exists in the United States.
